Lead in news writing is the first sentence of the news which contains general descriptions of the whole news and contains 5w1h. Lead has to grab the reader's attention. I’m not sure about the intro, but I think the news intro is the sentence about how the news starts, tells who is involved on that news, like who is exactly the culprit or what they did but the intro is less description than the lead.
