Enrolment options
This course is a practical class of Translation that develop students' competencies in doing subtitling, especially subtitling of English dialogue (to Indonesian), of audio-visual texts, such as films, talk shows, debates, etc. Those competencies are listening English audio texts, doing transcription of English dialogues, and subtitling the dialogues into Indonesian. This course provides you knowledge of characteristics of dialogues covering their linguistic aspects and strategies to translate them. In addition, you are also guided to be able to operate subtitling software(s) or programme(s) to produce quality subtitles.
