Matrix Method of Structural Analysis contains
methods for calculating displacements and internal forces of structures, where
the calculation procedures are presented in matrix formulations. The methods of
analysis can be distinguished into the flexibility method and stiffness method.
The method of flexibility is only briefly described, while the stiffness method
is described more deeply. The stiffness method has a unique form of solutions
(procedures) so this method is suitable for computer programming. The stiffness
method will be applied to calculate displacements and internal forces of beams,
trusses, rigid frames, and grids.
