ADVANCED READING (Class B)

This course equips students with the ability to understand and respond to different types of texts based on the genres of Discussion, Anecdote, Narrative and Review. Students are invited to communicate the characteristics of Discussion, Anecdote, Narrative, and Review texts, and then to read those genre based texts from a wide range of reading sources. Students may also learn how to explain the structure and content of the text and do assignments and activities related to the text material in question: identification of topics, subject matter, information, linguistic features, vocabulary, cohesion and grammar.
