Mata kuliah ini memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menulis artikel berbasis pada riset dengan mengembangkan argumen secara sistematis dan detail yang mendukung.


In general, the course is divided into four parts. In the first part, the discussion will be focused on the concepts and theories of language policy and planning (LPP), followed by a discussion on its application in Indonesian school and English as a foreign language classroom contexts. This is to guide students to work on their midterm semester project, which is to visit a school, analyze language policies implemented there, and write the report. In the third part, the discussion will be focussed on the recent global issues in LPP’s literature, followed by a discussion on the research methodologies commonly used in LPP. At the end of the class, students are expected to be able to integrate the topics and the research methodologies discussed in class into their final paper.

Mahasiswa mampu menginternalisasi, menjelaskan dan mengimplementasikan konsep dasar Form-based Grammars dan Systemic Functional Grammar (SFG), menempatkannya secara proporsional di antara pendekatan-pendekatan gramatika lain dan memanfaatkannya di dalam konteks profesinya sebagai guru/pengajar Bahasa Inggris.
