A course that studied about the basic concepts of special education, the history of the development of special education services and the trends/ issues in the world and in Indonesia, the Indonesian government's policies in developing special education and special services, identifying areas of orthopedagogical study, understanding orthopedagogics as a discipline and as a professional authority

This course provides an explanation of the philosophy of Pancasila, the history of Pancasila formulation, Pancasila as the state foundation, Pancasila as the nation ideology, Pancasila as a source of law, radicalism, Pancasila as socio-cultural political-economic values and security defense

This course analyzes the basic concept of special education, the history of the development of special education service and its tendency in the world and in Indonesia, the Indonesian government’s policy in the development of special need education and special service, identifying the areas of orthopaedagogic study, understanding orthopaedagogic as scientific discipline and as professional profession.

This course provides students to master the competency related to the basic concept of children growth in general, and developing aspects consist of physic, cognitive, motoric, emotions, social, and personality. It also discusses about the characteristic and psychological problem of special needs children.

This course aims for the students to have competency in understanding human nature, social problem concept, rehabilitation concept and social work consisting of: the purpose, the principles, the program design, the analysis of program design, the program evaluation and its follow up.

This course equips students in understanding various theories, principles, and educational activities and can apply them in life as a teacher and educator proportionally.
