English basic skills and integrated English for vocational students to empower their English skills in order to be able to make oral presentation of the report, and produce some narratives or drama.

Mata kuliah ini membekali mahasiswa untuk menguasai berbagai jenis tulisan ragam jurnalistik dan kaidah penulisannya. Kegiatan pembelajaran meliputi observasi teks otentik, mengidentifikasi register bahasa yang digunakan, praktek wawancara, berlatih menulis dan menyunting teks jurnalistik

This course is an integrated course in which the students are able to practice four basic skills Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. GE II discusses genre of Report, Explanation, and Narrative texts. .

This course is a practical course that honors student competencies in translating fiction, starting with the practice of translating micro translation units such as direct speech and indirect speech, proper names, colloquial languages, speech, and idioms. Students will gain learning experiences in the form of: listening to lecturers' explanations about translation theory, literary or fiction texts, and information about planned texts will be translated. Students translate English texts into Indonesian. Students express their opinions about the difficulties faced when translating and about the strategies, techniques and methods used in translating. Students do an analysis of the quality of their own translation and the translation of other students in one class.

Mata kuliah ini membangun kompetensi mahasiswa untuk melakukan observasi teks otentik guna mengidentifikasi konvensi (meliputi tujuan komunikasi teks, struktur retoris teks, register, penanda wacana) berbagai jenis teks tulis, lisan, non verbal dan audiovisual ragam profesional berbahasa Inggris. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar mahasiswa dapat menghasilkan teks tulis, lisan, cetak, elektronik, non verbal, dan audiovisual ragam profesional berbahasa Inggris yang berterima di dunia kerja.
